IT Support Engineer

MCDNS SARL is seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer with a strong focus on Networking, Firewall Configuration, Deployments, and VPN management. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of network infrastructure and security protocols, along with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

Responsibilities:

Configure, manage, and maintain essential network devices including routers, switches, and firewalls to ensure optimal network performance and security;
Implement and monitor firewall settings to protect against unauthorized access while ensuring the free flow of legitimate traffic;
Set up and maintain VPN connections, ensuring secure and reliable remote access for users;
Provide prompt and effective resolution to networking issues, minimizing downtime and maintaining business continuity;
Lead the deployment of new network infrastructure and conduct regular maintenance checks to ensure the latest security patches and updates are applied;
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for network architecture, configurations, and support procedures;
Assist end-users with network-related issues and provide guidance on best practices for secure and efficient network use;

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field;
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in IT support with a strong focus on networking and security;
Proficient in configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, and firewalls;
Familiarity with VPN technologies, network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and Wi-Fi standards;
Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+) are highly desirable;
Experience with network monitoring tools and security software.
